The Barcelona-based Italian architect Federico Babina went part-time to work on his other passion, graphic design. Babina’s Archicards series – playing cards featuring famous architects and their respective styles. “Maybe I use a building or a window... something that represents them. If you look at a simple detail of the cards you can find the architect,” he says. “I’m always trying to find different ways to represent architecture, not just for architects but for more people.” The inspiration for this latest project comes from his childhood. “When I was young, I used to build a house with cards: why not use architecture to design cards?”
